PRODUCT DETAILS
What's in the Box
- One Greek warrior sword with ornate hilt (48 cm)
- Matching decorative scabbard with embossed relief patterns
This Kids Greek Warrior Sword turns any Book Week mythology project into an adventure, with a 48cm molded blade featuring three pairs of wave-like symbols down the center and an antique bronze hilt that looks like it came straight from an ancient armory. The matching scabbard carries raised fleur-de-lis motifs and geometric borders — slide the sword in for safekeeping between battles.
Blade has a brushed metallic silver finish with a tapered gladius profile; the crossguard shows dragon or serpent relief detailing and a ribbed grip leading to a spherical pommel. Lightweight rigid plastic makes it safe for classroom parades and playground re-enactments. The scabbard's matte gray shell and embossed tip scroll give it museum-artifact energy without the museum price tag.
Perfect For
Book Week & Greek Mythology Days: A natural pick for Greek hero stories, ancient history projects, or mythology character parades — pairs with any demigod or warrior costume.
School Dress-Up Events: Great for 100 days of school (dress as a historical figure), Book Week costume ideas, or themed classroom days where your child needs a hero prop fast.
At-Home Play: Perfect for backyard quests, Percy Jackson read-aloud sessions, or any afternoon your kid wants to defend imaginary Camp Half-Blood.
How to Wear It
Pairs with a brown or tan tunic, sandals, and a DIY armor vest (cardboard works). Add a rope belt to hang the scabbard from the hip. Skip modern sneakers — go for gladiator sandals or barefoot if the weather's warm.
Parent FAQs
Q: Is the sword safe for school events?
A: Yes — it's lightweight molded plastic with no sharp edges, designed for costume use. Most schools allow foam or plastic props; check your school's Book Week costume guidelines if unsure.
Q: Does the scabbard attach to a belt?
A: The scabbard is a slide-in friction-fit design (no visible belt loops in the product images). Your child can carry it by hand or tuck it into a rope belt tied at the waist.
Q: Will the paint chip off with use?
A: The metallic finish is painted plastic, so heavy play or drops may show wear over time. It's costume-quality rather than heirloom-quality — treat it gently and it'll last through multiple Book Weeks.
Q: Can this be used for Percy Jackson Book Week?
A: Absolutely — it's perfect for any Greek mythology hero costume, ancient warrior character, or demigod dress-up day. Pair with an orange shirt and jeans for a camp vibe.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth; avoid soaking or scrubbing the painted areas.
