Q: Can she wear this over regular clothes, or does it need a base layer?
A: The tunic has sleeves, but many parents layer a white long-sleeve top underneath for warmth during outdoor December events. The tights go over regular underwear.
Q: Are the elf shoes included?
A: No — the green curled-toe shoes you see in the photos are sold separately. Your child can wear the costume with black school shoes, ballet flats, or sneakers and it still looks complete.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor Christmas parades in summer heat?
A: The velvet tunic and tights can be warm for Australian December sun. If your parade is outdoors midday, consider skipping the tights and letting her wear shorts underneath the skirt instead — the layered look still reads as festive.
