The elasticated neckline sits close, so a long-sleeve top underneath might bunch. Better to layer with white tights and a cardigan over the top if it's chilly.
Q: Is the apron a separate piece or sewn on?
It's sewn onto the skirt as an overlay — one less thing to fuss with on Book Week morning. The waist sash is also attached at the sides.
Q: Will this work for a school performance or just dress-up?
Absolutely works for both. The satin has enough structure for a stage performance, and the character graphic makes it clear who she is even from the back rows.
