The white apron is permanently attached at the waist. The navy ribbon ties are decorative and can be tied in a bow at the back, but the apron itself stays put — one less piece to lose.
Q: Can she wear this over regular clothes, or is it warm enough for outdoor festivals?
The dress is designed to be worn as the main outfit, not over bulky layers. If the weather's cool, layer a long-sleeve white top underneath the puffed sleeves — it'll peek out and add warmth without breaking the dirndl look.
Q: How do I wash this? Will the embroidery and gingham hold up?
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water, hang to dry. The embroidered ribbon trim and gingham check are stitched on securely, so they'll hold up to normal wear and one or two washes without fraying.
