The headband sits on a semi-rigid plastic base wrapped in fabric. It's designed to fit most kids' head sizes — the band itself doesn't adjust, but the lightweight construction means it sits comfortably without pinching.
Can they wear this over a winter uniform?
Absolutely. The whole point of accessory costumes is they layer over regular clothes. Winter jumper, polo shirt, tracksuit — all work. The tail tucks into any waistband or belt loop.
How do I clean this if it gets grubby?
Spot-clean the headband with a damp cloth (the stuffing inside the trunk can't go in the wash). The bow tie and tail are hand-washable — gentle detergent, air dry flat.
Is this enough for Book Week or do we need more costume pieces?
This set is designed to be enough on its own when paired with grey or white everyday clothes. If you want to go full elephant, add grey trackies and a grey long-sleeve tee. But most parents find the headband alone does the job — it's the ears and trunk that sell it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
