What size should I order?
The shorts have an elastic waistband that gives you some flexibility, but the top runs true to size through the chest and shoulders. If your child is between sizes or has a longer torso, we'd say size up. The polyester blend fabric doesn't have much stretch, so a snugger fit might restrict arm movement during active play.
Can she wear this over regular clothes?
Not really - the top is designed to be worn on bare skin or over a thin singlet, and the shorts are meant as standalone bottoms. The sailor collar sits flat when worn properly, so bulky layers underneath will bunch. On chilly days, add opaque tights under the shorts and a cardigan between scenes, but take it off for photos.
Care: Hand wash cold, line dry. The red neck scarf is permanently attached, so avoid soaking to prevent color bleed onto the white stripes.
